New Library Building Anniversary

Winter Park Library celebrates one year in our fabulous new building this week! It feels like we were packing boxes and getting everything ready for the big move just yesterday.

Now that we've settled into our new home, we have time to reflect on all we've accomplished this past year. We presented countless events and enlightening classes, offered safe and welcoming spaces for collaborative work and community gatherings, and provided access to premium information and in-demand resources. Our new spaces, such as our Makerspace, Recording Studio, Special Archives and Collections, have given us new opportunities for creativity and discovery.

• Library visits have exceeded 12,000 per month.
• Class attendance has increased by 35%.
• Item checkouts have increased by 40%. 
• And we currently have a record-setting 20,000 Library members.

We're overjoyed with all we've accomplished this past year, and we could not have done it without our members and supporters. Our new home's form now meets our function, and we are excited to see how we continue to grow, create, and connect in this new building.

Please celebrate with us Tuesday, December 13th, in the Library lobby. We will have a photo booth, festive treats, and unveil a brand-new video as we share our favorite memories in the new building.
