Learn the history of the Blues and learn how to write your own Blues style song. The Blues is a unique style of music with a rich history originating from the polyrhythmic music of West Africa. Over a period of 50 years, it transformed into a new genre of music and has since influenced all American music that has succeeded it. In observance of Juneteenth, the Winter Park Library pays homage to the culture and heritage of Gullah with a day of historical events.
