Honoring the Legacy of Polly Seymour
(1929-2024)
The New Leaf Bookstore stands as a lasting tribute to Polly Seymour, one of the Winter Park Library’s most cherished champions. From the moment Polly arrived in Winter Park in 1978, she dedicated her life to enriching our Library and community. As the founder of the New Leaf Bookstore in 1995, Polly poured her vision, passion, and leadership into making it a vital part of the Library’s success.
Over the years, Polly’s efforts, alongside those of the bookstore’s incredible volunteers, raised more than $1.5 million to support Library programs, technology, collections, and more. Her work inspired countless volunteers and donors, and her legacy continues to thrive through the dedicated team that operates the store today.
Polly’s extraordinary contributions to the Winter Park Library will forever be remembered. Her vision and generosity made a difference to so many, and her impact will continue to shape our Library for generations to come.
We invite you to join us in honoring Polly’s legacy by visiting the New Leaf Bookstore and supporting the work she began with such love and dedication.
