Celebrate with James Ponti

Orlando local and New York Times Bestselling author James Ponti is celebrating the release of his latest book here at the Library! Well-known for his middle-grade book series City Spies, Framed!, and The Dead City trilogy, Ponti’s work, filled with adventure and mystery, keeps readers on their toes. His background in producing shows on the History Channel prepared him for writing. Additional inspiration comes from his two sons, Alex and Grayson, after whom the main characters in the Dead City series are named.  

The City Spies series follows an unlikely squad of five kids from around the world who form an elite MI6 Spy Team. The team, consisting of a hacker, a magician, a code breaker, a rebel, and a genius, is on a mission to save a scientist and must travel to multiple events and landmarks worldwide to complete it.  

"Even when we can't leave our homes, books can take us on amazing adventures around the world. Technology also allowed my fellow writers and me to connect with readers like never before," Ponti writes.

The event, taking place on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 6:30 PM- 8:00 PM in the Winter Park Library Edyth Bush Theatre, is for all ages and will celebrate the release of James Ponti's latest book, City Spies: Forbidden City.

The evening will include a presentation and Q & A with James Ponti and bestselling author Kristin Harmel, a trivia contest, and a book signing at the end. Books will be available for sale from Writer's Block Bookstore.
