Motherhood is transformative, but it can also bring unexpected emotional challenges. Up to 1 in 5 new and expectant mothers experience perinatal or postpartum mood disorders like anxiety and depression—and you are not alone.

Gather with other board and card game enthusiasts to play Say Anything, Taboo, Likewise, Word on the Street, Scattergories, Apples to Apples, and more. Card games (Hearts and Spades, Uno, Phase 10) may also be available.

Ages 3-5. Explore STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math – concepts through stories and hands-on activities. Classes may focus on one or more areas. Please dress for mess.

Explore how modern quilters use color to create visually striking and emotionally resonant works. Color is a powerful tool in quilting, allowing the quilter to set mood, create movement and express individuality in every quilt.

Ages 13-Adult. Like, totally join us for a special screening of Clueless as part of the library's Year with Jane Austen series!

Monthly folk concert featuring noted musicians from Florida and surrounding regions. Suggested donation $15 ($10 for WPL card holders).   

Ages 0-5. Drop by our Imagination Room for low-sensory free-play. Play with our toys or bring your own! Caregivers are encouraged to participate in intentional hands-on play with their child.

Grades 5-7. Explore the world of art, crafting, and creating. Materials provided. Dress for mess!

This Class: Colorful Candles

Come along with us for an evening of crafty fun! Create something you can proudly display. Craft changes quarterly. Materials provided. Sign-up for each session is recommended.

Ages birth to 12 months. Hold your little ones on your laps while they listen to playful stories, songs and rhymes that introduce them to the sounds and rhythms of the spoken word. We encourage full and active participat

Ages 13 - 24 months. Singing, dancing and moving to rhymes and simple stories will introduce young children to the joys of language and literature. We encourage full and active participation of accompanying adults.

Grades 5-7. Create an original animation using Spline 3D modeling software. Sign up for the first class to attend the full series.

Grades 5-12. Are you bad at art? Prove it! Unleash your inner artist for an evening of fun and hilarity to create your own “disaster piece!”

Ages 2-5. Join WUCF, your local PBS station and experiment with activities that support math, literacy, and more! 

Come learn recording basics to create your own music or spoken-word project. The studio is available to full-service cardholders; attending this class is required to use the studio.

Fiction and non-fiction writers meet the 4th Wednesday of the month, in association with the Writers of Central Florida, offering each other support and critiques. 

Grades 5-12. Gather around the (fake) campfire for a night of chills, thrills, and gooey s’mores. Share your own spooky tales or listen as others spin hair-raising stories in the flickering firelight—if you dare!
