What is TBG?

The Teen Book Guild is a new volunteer opportunity perfect for teens who love to read and talk about YA books. Their purpose is to advocate for and spread that love of reading to other teens in the community.

What does TBG do?

 - Read and review new YA books
 - Help generate social media content to promote Winter Park Library’s YA books collection
 - Create thematic book lists and book displays, for both in the library and virtually
 - Consult with the Teen Librarian to improve the Library’s Book Box service
 - Serve as ambassadors to YA authors who visit the Library

When will TBG meet?

 - The Teen Book Guild will meet on the third Wednesday of the month from 5 – 6 p.m.
 - Individual’s project work can be completed on their own preferred time.

Why should I join?

 - A chance to have real input on the books, movies and music chosen for the Library’s collection
 - Get exclusive access to upcoming YA books before they go on sale to the public
 - Make lifelong friends with other YA book lovers
 - Develop reading, writing, and teamwork skills
 - TBG provides volunteer experience that looks great on job, college, and scholarship applications
 - Earn volunteer hours for Bright Futures, IB, or other situations where volunteer hours are required
