Today is World Health Day! Winter Park Library is actively promoting mental health and well-being by providing access to supportive services and resources for individuals in need of guidance. The Library is now happy to provide one on one assistance and referrals via appointment or walk-in.

Libraries are a meaningful part of a community and serve as a safe gathering place for all people. A library is considered a community strength and a protective factor to those experiencing hardship. Not only does the Winter Park Library offer an amazing collection of materials to check out, but also diverse programming and supportive services. The Winter Park Library website now has an extensive list of community resources available for reference.

There is a national movement of coalition building between libraries and social workers, and the Winter Park Library is participating. Individuals in need of guidance can obtain supportive services from an onsite clinical social work intern, located in Study Room 1.

Services include benefit application assistance, career skills training, goal planning, referrals to local resources and more. Walk ins or appointments welcome. I look forward to serving the Winter Park community, please do not hesitate to reach out!
